Women of Willow Bank (WOW)
The WOW fleet was established in 1991 by a group of women who came togethe
r to sail sunfish in a non-competitive, recreational manner. Although some WOWs are very competitive on the water, many have remained enthusiastic, just for fun, sailors.
WOW is open to any woman as long as she comes to sail without children or male counterpart. We meet every Wednesday at 4:00 P.M., sail for about two hours and then gather on the deck for drinks and snacks. Yes, we do have a reputation for having fun but we are also dedicated sailors of all levels.
The WOW season begins in earnest at the end of June but we will sail on any Wed. in May, weather permitting. For more information, contact either of us as we are always welcoming new sailors.
